I have been in Dentistry since 1999. I started my career as a dental assistant and had the opportunity to work in Oral Surgery. I enjoyed assisting but went back to school to further my degree in Dental Hygiene. Hygiene is my passion. I love coming to work and being able to share knowledge with my patients that they didn’t know that helps improve their dental health.
I don’t know if there is another career I would have chosen. I love my job and the opportunity that this career has brought to my life. I have met some incredible people that I am blessed to have come in contact with in my profession. I hope to do this job till I am physically unable.
At home I am a new mom. My daughter, Haley, is the center of my universe right now so not a lot of free time. I used to love to spend time out on the boat with my husband or take long motorcycle rides to the mountains with friends and family, riding behind my husband – not driving of course. That might one day come back but right now it’s just enjoying our little girl Haley. We cant wait till summer when we can start going on the boat and enjoy the beach with her.
I am very grateful that I can spend time at home with my daughter and continue my career in dental hygiene 3 days a week .
