We are excited about the new team members we have added and would like to welcome them aboard. Monica Nunn joins Randi in the hygiene department. She came to us from a very progressive office similar to ours in Columbia, SC. With over 11 years of experience, Monica has worked as both an assistant and hygienist and has brought some wonderful ideas and skill sets with her. Britt Mickey joins Robin up front as a Treatment Coordinator and greets our clients with the warmth and care we strive to provide. She has nearly two years of experience in the dental field and vast computer skills, a must in this digital age, and we count ourselves fortunate to have found her. In addition, Monica and Britt have worked together in another office so they knew each other before joining us, serving as references for each other and comrades in “newbie-ness!” Both of them have integrated seamlessly into our team and we could not be more thrilled to have them!
Mid-May Dr. Seay and David took the entire team to Boston for the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s 27th Annual Scientific Session. It was an intense few days of learning; the team splits up and spends the entire day in continuing education classes of the highest caliber given by world renowned speakers and clinicians. As a team we come away with 63 hours of continuing education taken over three and a half days. What did we learn about? We were exposed to new techniques and materials, new office-wide and clinical practices and the latest technological advances and equipment available in our field. It was a wonderful opportunity for each of us to be exposed to and learn about all of these things and to network with other teams, forging new friendships and gaining wisdom through learning how other offices operate.
